Dan's Legacy Dan had started to think about his Eagle project a few months before he passed on. His dream was to restock the 8th floor playroom of Children's Hospital. Throughout his illness whenever he was in the hospital, he was always looking for things to do ,such as arts and crafts or play a game that had all the pieces or be able to play video games. He came up with restocking the playroom with arts and crafts and board games and if possible a few new video game consoles and games to go with them.He was never able to complete his project before his death. His friends decided to make Dan's project come true by selling Danny's Dream bracelets in order to raise money for the playroom. |

The Dan Durick Soccer Tournament The Tonawanda Soccer Booster Club had renamed their kickoff tournament to the Dan Durick Tournament in Sept. 2005. Dan had only played soccer for his school for one year due to his illness. He had tried out while he was going into 7th grade and made the team but then was unable to play due to his illness that kept him out of school for the entire school year and was home schooled. In Sept.2005,he was able to play soccer again and was thrilled.
For the booster club to rename a tournament after a young player has really meant alot to his family. |
